The new school of Komořany is located on a northern sloping plot adjacent to the forest at the edge of Prague. We perceive the plot as a connecting transition between the forest and the new public infrastructure - a transition between the wild and the cultivated. XTOPIX The new building responds to the morphology of the plot. We connect the individual floors to the adjacent height levels of the surrounding terrain and neighboring streets. We use the maximum of the dramatic elevation - immersing the building to the terrain we cover the volume of the new school. A new community building for Lower Hutt's busy Riddiford Garden. The pavilion features two full-accessible public toilets and a kiosk. It also cleverly disguises an old electricity substation.Robust and highly-functional, the pavilion meets the challenge of the security issues of such a public site. It has also been designed to fit in with the local Council's recently redeveloped administration building and sits comfortably facing a busy main road. Day center and home for the elderly of Blancafort. A social building necessary for the elderly of the village of Blancafort and its neighboring municipalities. The initial observation of the plot and its environment led to consider that the future building did not have to solve only a program and a requirement of an isolated building, but it also had to help consolidate the nearest urban fabric, creating an entrance to the village with its own personality and public character. Mixture of styles, colors and material, not to say chaos, join together to create a new language of harmony. Atnachta café College girl by day and dirty minded lady by night? A local coffee house that transform itself to a dark alcohol bar when sun goes down. Transforming space, the kind that knows how to create an intimate atmosphere of a neighborhood café and from the exact same components creates the atmosphere of a pickup bar. The café is situated on the corner of a busy street in central Tel Aviv and designed so that the external sitting area will slide into the interior area and give the effect of one big combined space.
