This house, set on a steep slope covered with typical Brazilian savanna vegetation, is located in front of a preserved area facing mountain views. Its location strategy, longitudinal to the terrain’s contour lines, is defined by the extensive cover concrete slab, which is fluidly inserted according to the specific needs of the program and the terrain. The project involves the renovation of a 1960s apartment overlooking Parco Bolasco in Castelfranco Veneto. A central volume, clad in color, organizes the home and defines its perceptual structure: it concentrates the service spaces, separating and at the same time connecting the living and sleeping areas, becoming the fulcrum around which the space is articulated. The Vagão House is arranged longitudinally across the site, taking advantage of the open views toward the mountains to the south. Conceived as a dry and efficient construction system, the house is organized through two clearly defined volumes. The private areas are concentrated in a suspended upper pavilion, while the social spaces occupy the ground floor and open almost entirely toward the garden. Selva houses explore the possibility of reconciling everyday urban life with a more immediate experience of nature. Located in Alto de Pinheiros, one of São Paulo’s traditional garden neighborhoods, the project comprises eight detached houses conceived as individual dwellings immersed in a continuous landscape. The architecture is organized around the presence of vegetation, treated not as a backdrop but as an active part of the spatial experience. Developed in collaboration with the landscape designer Caterina Poli, the garden introduces native species around the swimming pool, along the circulation areas, and into the visual field of the interiors, reinforcing the sense of living within a planted environment. Set within the dense residential fabric of Sabarmati, Ahmedabad, Bungalow at Sabarmati is a 6,800 sq. ft. family residence that brings together contemporary architectural expression, climatic responsiveness and a deep emotional connection to place. Built on an east-facing 3,500 sq. ft. plot, the five-bedroom home replaces the family’s previous residence that had occupied the same site for more than two decades. Located on an approximately 5,000 m2 site in Lagoa Santa, near Belo Horizonte, the house begins with a central question: how can an extensive program be accommodated on a densely wooded plot while preserving as much of the existing vegetation as possible?The answer emerged from reading the voids between the trees. Rather than first defining the shape of the building, the project sought to identify the available spaces on the site and understand where the architecture could be inserted. Dike House Heenvliet is located on the edge of the historic village of Heenvliet. Built on the footprint of an old barn, which was formerly part of a dike- and coach house. The existing home features a playful split-level layout and offers views of the adjacent ruins of Castle Ravesteyn, but over time, couldn't offer enough space for the family. Located deep within the dense urban structure of the Jordaan, a former studio has been transformed into a dwelling that deliberately withdraws from the city. Invisible from the street, the house opens entirely toward two enclosed inner gardens. A concealed place, quiet and green, embedded in the heart of Amsterdam. The design originates from a careful reading of the site and its daily use.
