Squirrel Park

The project transforms shipping containers into four two-bedroom single-family homes. Each unit benefits from large windows and private outdoor spaces. Squirrel Park builds on a number of previous AHMM modular construction projects, including MoMo, Raines Court and OKSea. Set on the banks of the Miami River, at the junction of Overtown and Little Havana, this modern office complex was commissioned as the U.S. headquarters for international engineering and construction outfit GLF Construction Corporation. The building was designed with simplicity in mind, featuring large floor plates that allow user flexibility and evoke the feeling of open space. EligoStudio has been commissioned to design the site headquarter: a 3 stories building entirely crafted by shipping containers. For the 2013-2014 College Football season, IMG College wanted to create an upscale tailgate experience at some of the more prominent football games. Namely, the annual Florida v. Georgia game in Jacksonville, and the Rose Bowl and BCS Championship in Pasadena. Catering to an upscale crowd, the experience had to blend luxury with a classic college football environment.
