The architect shows thru THE CONTAINER HOUSE that it is possible to transform shipping containers into a modern and functional house.

The choice of a container as a base for the project focused on sustainability and reuse of materials . The time-frame for elaboration and execution of this model of construction is infinitely smaller than a conventional brick/concrete construction, reuses the shipping container which has no longer function avoiding its discharge besides the advantages of zero consuming of water and other natural resources.

The architect's mission was to prove possible the building of a contemporary house with minimalist and impeccable finish so that the container itself and all its industrial and corrugated structure would be imperceptible to one’s eyes. A clean , neat white box that competes with no Styles , embracing and celebrating nature around. The large glazing recessed on walls allow the house to be wide opened on the front facade to guarantee the full integration with nature and also provides cross ventilation with the back windows that compound the kitchen end and bathroom side.

The vertical white profiles which compounds the facades in a “diminishing rithym “ has the aesthetics function as well as works as a brise-soleil creating a certain filter for the sun as it reaches the space. The entire house was enveloped with White Dekton which is a solid surface composed by stone and resin.

The brises were mounted in the same material, also chosen for the house floors to enhace the sensation of enlargement with its restricted dimensions. “ Making it all white has the main purpose of giving it eveness and enlightening the sense of space”.
