Yoozoo is a contemporary bubble tea shop located in a colonial building, thoughtfully designed to offer a unique sensory journey. The contrast between the historic architecture and the minimalist intervention is accentuated by a softly lit polycarbonate tunnel that blurs the boundaries between interior and exterior spaces. The Golf Pavilion, situated at the halfway point of the golf course, serves as a rest stop offering amenities such as snacks, beverages, and washroom facilities. Designed as a strict geometric structure within a natural landscape, the pavilion comprises a 41 sqm footprint tucked beneath an extended roof overhang that effectively doubles its usable space, drawing golfers in. The asymmetrical roof, weighted towards the back, imparts a directional motion toward the next hole. At the approach, a metal screen with angular bars is a nod to the clubs in a golfer’s bag and conceals the washroom doors. Situated on the southern bank of the Li Village River in Qingdao, the observation deck serves multiple purposes, including vertical circulation, a viewing platform, and park service facilities. It features a 40-meter-long ramp made of triangular slabs covered in anticorrosive wood, linking the lower riverbank to the upper city road, with a height difference of 3 meters. Working from home can be challenging, especially with small kids around. Therefore a young creative couple asked Studio Abacaxi to design a Garden Studio, in which they could work and host guests. The combination of working and living resulted in a multi-functional structure, where the integrated furniture caters to the different needs. Architects Francesca Morsiani and Mujgan Merve Rinaldi designed La Mini with a proposed location in Nevsehir, Turkey surrounded by mountains. The rectangular structure is clad in dark brown vertical panels interspersed with floor-to-ceiling windows for a sleek, minimalist exterior. _UVISUAL The design idea was to create a small, efficient and welcoming house.
