The CHOC house, a four-story house previously designed in a rustic style and plagued by numerous infrastructure issues, underwent a comprehensive redesign and renovation process. This house for a young couple required a renovation project based on light and materials. The original plan with living area, night area and attic was maintained but the previous unvarying appearance has been replaced by a journey along textures and colors. The bent metal sheet staircase is a perfect theatre wing into the living room, allowing zenith light to flood in. The imaginary line between living room and kitchen ensures natural light all day long. A memorable and minimalist 68-square-meter apartment with a unique staircase-like detail in Vilnius, in the newly developed residential complex of PAUPYS. The accents of this interior were set by contrasting colors and textures, with a unique stair detail on the ceiling, revealed by the hidden technical piping. The stairs detail creates a unique feeling of the upside-down climb, yet it is very slightly visible and doesn‘t create an oppressive feeling, but an interesting volumetric image inside the main area of the apartment. This luxury retreat resides high in the Rocky Mountains in Aurora, Colorado. Both a resort and convention center, the complex is home to a total of 1,500 rooms and suites as well as over 500,000 square feet of usable meeting space. With a water park, special activities, and entertainment, the destination is an all-inclusive experience for the whole family. The highest traffic areas of the building feature Banker Wire’s M13Z-146 as wire mesh railing infills. It is qualified by its location at the crossroads between the old town, the new railway station of Bulle and the commercial zone to the north. Originally, the existing building at rue de Bourg 8 consisted of two small 3-storey buildings, joined together in 1637. In 1746, they were raised by one floor and completely repaired. Since the 18th century, the facade on the street, as well as the interior, has undergone numerous modifications on the ground and first floors, in particular the creation of a slab that obstructs the inner courtyard and the creation of 2 shops on the ground floor. Located in heart of the Venice neighborhood, the Milwood Residence is a 3,800 square foot single-family home created to connect its occupants and their surroundings. Sensible programmatic adjacency and an open floor plan define the spaces at ground level. Occupants can move freely between common spaces which extend to exterior spaces as well as vertically via a central circulation 'void' to the roof deck. The 'void' was achieved via a custom operable skylight which fills the space of the circulation core for the home and allows access to the roof deck. Our 5,700 sf Ports 1961 store resides on the prestigious Rue St Honore in Paris, France, occupying three-stories next to the Mandarin Hotel. The retail ground floor features delicate Venetian plaster walls with 3D patterns, which transition to the upper VIP floor in a warmer, gold tone. The upper floor also features grey, mat Siberian hardwood, while the ground floor patterns limestone. Sculpted stairs connect the upper and lower levels, and other architectural additions include mirror columns, recessed lighting, and custom fixtures in polished chrome— all of which glow on adjacent clothing and surfaces.
