The Finnish coastal archipelago consists of over 80 000 islands. The islands started emerging from the sea after the ice age about 10 000 years ago. Their cliffs of mostly granite and gneiss have been polished smooth by the kilometres tall ice sheet that had been pressing them down. The first inhabitants of the archipelago settled about 4000 years ago and the biggest islands are still settled all year round. The Crans Montana house is a large family home set into a steep south facing slope in the Swiss resort of Crans Montana. KeGa Villa is a private weekend retreat designed by T3 Architects, located in the rural landscape of Ke Ga, Vietnam, between the sea and a national park. Conceived as a place for a large family and visiting friends, the project seeks to balance communal living with privacy, while responding carefully to the local climate and natural surroundings. For over a decade, a concrete and steel skeleton defined the city’s landscape, remaining as a suspended promise within the characteristically horizontal urban fabric that shapes Pisa’s skyline. Perched on two adjacent lots in uptown Querétaro, this project embraces the site’s privileged views toward a lush green corridor and the distant hillside. The approach is rooted in our holistic design philosophy—melding bioclimatic performance, structural expression, cultural references, and the human experience. Set on a compact footprint, this house is designed around simple materials and thoughtful planning. A clay-red exterior wraps around the home, echoing the colour of the African tulip tree that dominates the front of the site. The tree was embraced—its form guiding the shape of the building. The architecture steps in and out around the tree’s canopy, with bold projections and soft recesses that reflect its presence. This thoughtful shaping also anticipates future buildings on either side, ensuring the house remains private on the outside and expansive on the inside. Ramisera Wilds is a 5000 sq.ft boutique resort project with 3 cottages and 2 existing huts in Ramisera, Uttarakhand, in the Kalagarh Tiger Reserve forest area. The river Palain flows along the site and the sound of water echoes through the resort.  Our response to such eco-sensitive site was a structure with minimum on-site interference and ecofriendly passive design principles. We designed a resort with a focus on the natural beauty and surroundings and an experiential stay to observe wild life. The first defining feature of the project site is, of course, its position at the corner of two streets. Corners are strong points in the composition of the urban fabric—they are points of convergence and the beginnings of street connections. In this case, the corner is hollow, empty, awaiting linkage. In view of this specific urban situation, we felt it was appropriate to clearly reconstruct the contours of the block by respecting the existing structural lines and giving form to the corner. This residential transformation project reinterprets a 1960s house through a careful strategy of structural reuse, volumetric clarity, and spatial densification. Situated on a corner plot within a heterogeneous urban fabric of varying building scales and typologies, the intervention preserves the footprint and foundational concrete frame of the existing house while extending vertically with a lightweight steel structure engineered to withstand seismic loads.
