It began with the desire to create the feeling of home. As Haikou Luxeisland Villa grew into a large residential development, that simple idea be-came a question: how could every resident feel they were returning to a place of their own? Everything that followed, from the landscape and architecture to the choice of materials, was shaped by this question. The first challenge was identity. Villa Exomandria is a contemporary Cycladic retreat on the hillside of Monastiria, Antiparos — 700 square metres of built space set within 10,000 square metres of raw, sun-baked landscape, with panoramic views across the Aegean toward Sifnos and Paros.The Cyclades have one of the world's most recognisable architectural traditions: cubic white forms, thick walls, stone and lime plaster, buildings shaped by the same logic for centuries. Villa Exomandria builds on that tradition without decorating it. Raw concrete and natural stone mirror the surrounding cliffs. Villa Santpoort is a detached residence located in the dunes of Santpoort-Zuid, designed to form a connection with its surrounding landscape. The design responds to the natural level differences of the site, resulting in a playful split-level layout where spaces are interconnected yet retain their own identity. The villa consists of a wooden volume placed on a concrete plinth, intersected by glass elements that create transparency and unique light conditions. The integrated approach to both exterior and interior results in a cohesive design that strengthens the relationship between the home and nature. A complex of three stone-built buildings is located west of the city of Chania in the village of Kalivani, near Balos. Built on a plot of 420 sq.m., the buildings, measuring 220 sq.m., are arranged around an inner courtyard with water as the connecting element between the building volumes.
