Byens Bro
The bridge, named Byens Bro, provides a link between Central Odense and the new urban developments by the harbour, together with better access to the platforms of the railway station, while at the same time creates a magnificent new landmark for Odense, Denmark’s third-largest city.
Gottlieb Paludan Architects has acted as design architect and lead consultant on the project with subconsultants ES-Consult, NIRAS, Bartenbach Lichtlabor and lighting-design artist Anita Jørgensen. The construction project has been carried out by Bladt Industries A/S. The bridge opened in the summer of 2015.
The new foot and cycle bridge gives shape to Odense Municipality’s vision of a transport link for cyclists and pedestrians across the railway, using... Más

Bridge in Rinkeby
Background
The bridge for bicycles and pedestrians over Rinkebystråket is located in Rinkeby, a northern suburb of Stockholm. It is part of a project that aims to transform a former traffic separated area, from a street shaped as a canal for mainly vehicular traffic, to an active and vital street for pedestrians with shops and public spaces along the road on the lower level.
Function
The Northern Square where the bridge crosses, is an important place that connects both out to E18 and Järvafältet and also between the two levels. The bridge should, beyond being a convenient passage over the street, also enhance the interaction between the levels and the visual contact with the distant landscape. In the program a special and indepen... Más

The South Entrance
Helsingborg C, Knutpunkten has a new entrance, Södraentrén. The South entrance is far more than just a shortcut to the tracks, though. As well as a new passenger flow and a cycle hub, the new entrance is also a landmark and a destination that strengthens the city’s commercial ties.
The Municipality of Helsingborg has witnessed a sharp increase in traffic to and from the city. Looking forward to 2020, it is estimated that daily visitors will increase from the current figure of 22,000 to 32,000. This is a pressure that Knutpunkten – which was designed by Ivar Krepp in 1984–1991 – could not handle in its current state, which is why the decision was made to create a new exit and approach at the root of the track’s southern extension. Furthe... Más

Brisbane Ferry Terminals
Derlot and collaborators, Cox Rayner Architects and Aurecon were awarded the Brisbane Ferry Terminal Redevelopment project. In the proposal, the terminals are landmarks on the river integrating technical innovation, flood resilience and elegance. A single pontoon structure is tethered to a single up-stream pier that deflects debris away from the pontoon. A detachable gangway connects the pontoon to the river bank. This gangway can be rotated and secured parallel to the pontoon in the event of a flood.
The proposed ferry terminal creates a public space directly on the river, giving passengers a more direct experience of the river and its landscape. The design is adaptable for the different terminal locations, and incorporates a number of... Más
