JLL is a world leader in real estate services, managing over four billion square feet of property worldwide. The firm’s New York headquarters is located at 330 Madison Avenue amid bustling Midtown. Knowing that JLL needed to expand its offices to accommodate growing needs, the firm enlisted TPG Architecture to lead a substantial renovation in place and expansion project. 800 Fulton is a mixed-use office building that serves as a gateway to one of Chicago’s most active neighborhoods. With setbacks and landscaped terraces, this 19-story tower is scaled to match the Fulton Market District’s historic low-rise streetscape while also tying into the denser commercial area to the north. Rising from a three-story podium that aligns with Fulton Market Street’s scale, the building steps back in landscaped terraces planted with native species. Microsoft HQ Bucharest is paying homage to a historic and symbolic site for the technology and science development in Romania. It takes cues both from the neighboring Polytechnic University and from the rich industrial heritage of the area. Microsoft HQ building is aiming for Well Gold Certification. The Polytechnic University itself was built in the 60's in the middle of the then industrial platform as it was meant to train specialists for the growing industries. The Quayside is an innovative mix use development that promotes a healthy working environment mixing work, dine, recreation, relaxation into a green oasis amidst an industrial neighbourhood in Hong Kong.   With the office lobby on the ground level, retail on the first and second levels, and a large green podium on the third level, circular openings were created to visually connect and integrate the various functions, while planting with self irrigation and lighting system forms column structures puncturing through these openings.   A grand spiral stair connects the second to the third level4,300m² podium garden, equipped with a jogging path. In Daimler’s Beijing-based learning center, iDA created a playful fusion of color and shape throughout the space. Contrary to traditional designs of corporate classrooms, this center was ultimately transformed into a multi-service space that serves purposes beyond learning.   To fully reflect Daimler’s automotive history and their continued status as an industry leader, iDA created a unified design by incorporating a streamlined shape that runs through the space.   A strategic goal of this project was to re-think learning.
