Pani Jurek

Pani Jurek straddles the border between fine arts, craft and design. Applied art objects are created in an artisanal manner. They are more the outcome of the designer's imagination than the result of a meticulous business strategy.The brand was founded in 2010 by Magda Jurek. A painting graduate, She thinks of her objects as signs, sculptures or installations, treating them as a canvas for building compositions. Utility forms are means of expression: colors, stains, textures, shapes that form an abstract composition. The social projects and non-commercial initiatives, in which she willingly engages, serve not only as tools to make the world a little bit better but they often become the trigger for the creation of usable products. Pani Jurek's objects go beyond conventional functions. Interactivity is an inherent feature. Conceived as part of a composition, they are designed in response to their surroundings and the people who use them. The usability of Pani Jurek's products is never neglected. The possibilities are tamed by ergonomics and material. Fascination with the material, especially ceramics, and respect for its possibilities and limitations is visible in all of Pani Jurek's products. All objects are handcrafted in a small workshop under the designer’s vigilant eye.
