Peronda’s production facilities currently cover an area of 300,000 square metres, 130,000 of which are indoor. They include a logistics centre and two production plants with a daily output of 30,000 square metres of wall and floor tiles.
The highly competitive facilities are the result of a policy of ongoing reinvestment in R&D&I, including a particular focus on efficiency criteria in customer service and constant innovation in the design and production of its ceramic wall and floor tiles, using sustainable and environmentally-friendly production processes.
In recent years, Peronda has made major investment efforts in order to extend its second production plant, doubling its production capacity. During this time, the company has installed two new pressing and glazing lines, including digital printing machinery for ceramic tiles, as well as a new kiln. It has also extended the selection lines and installed new lines for rectifying, cutting and finishing the edges of the tiles.
HISTORY
Peronda Group boasts a long-standing and firmly consolidated professional trajectory whose origins date back to the first third of the 19th century. Indeed, records show that in 1827, the Peris and Martí families were employed as ceramicists in Onda, a town in the Spanish province of Castellón.
1951 saw the founding of ‘Peris y Cía’ with a factory located in Onda town centre, an achievement made possible by more than a hundred years’ experience in the sector.
During the sixties, the company’s pioneering and export skills came to the fore, enabling it to sell a significant amount of its production in markets as far-flung as Australia.
1969 was a landmark year in the company’s history with two milestone events: the move to the current facilities and the launch of Peronda, the brand that represents the company around the world. Ever since, the company has maintained a constant policy of reinvesting in all processes, consistently incorporating the very latest technologies available within the sector.
Peronda Group was one of the first factories to introduce the porous single firing system and was also a pioneer in the production of large format ceramic tiles.
This has allowed the company and its activity to grow rationally and sustainably and today, the Peronda Group, which holds a stake in various firms, boasts a solid and competitive presence in the Spanish and international markets.
