The house was conceived as a place for temporary countryside living with a focus on activities inside. Country properties in this region are rarely characterized by holistic and beautiful architecture. Therefore, our main goal was not to fit into the surrounding context but rather to create a house that turns inward on itself.

As a result of close collaboration with the client, we created a house that at first glance appears minimalist with echoes of Scandinavian style. However, the complex roof form and the internal atrium made the house distinctive and recognizable. We complemented this image with the use of industrial materials and, in the end, achieved a highly individual and, in a sense, mystical object on the plain—one inspired by the personality of its owner.

This is one of those cases where both the architecture and the interior of the house reflect the originality and creativity of its owner.

The design is based on light textured walls, generous use of warm wood to echo the façade, and a wealth of intriguing details that invite exploration. For example, the massive chandelier at the center of the main space emphasizes the sloping roofline and the architecture of the house.

The communal area in the project was designed as a place for gatherings and conversations: filled with air and light throughout the day, dominated by warm and tactile materials. By contrast, the spa zone features lowered ceilings to create a sense of protection, predominantly dark tones, and a heated floor finished with lappato porcelain stoneware.
