Founded in 2010, REFRESH*DESIGN is an award winning architectural & interior design studio based in West End, Brisbane, Australia.
REFRESH* specialises in creating contemporary, tailor-made, yet, highly functional residential spaces, offices and commercial venues. Design expertise in residential structures, include: single residences, townhouses, apartment buildings, multi generational dwellings (‘gardenhouses’), subdivisions and small-medium scale developments.
We believe great architecture enhances people’s lives and thereby contributes to a better functioning society. Our mission is to use design as a tool to surpass our client’s aspiration whilst at the same time balancing their intentions to positively influence the environment.
Our work has a strong focus on sustainability, underlined by its capacity to endure. It is contextual, adaptable, harmonious and well considered in the use of space, light, material and technology.

The beginning of every project is an in-depth investigation of the context of the site and it’s local precinct. Physical, cultural, historical and social attributes are superimposed with different influences specific to each project, thus leading to unconventional yet pragmatic solutions and responses.

refresh* base their work on responsible and creative resource allocation, adhering to ESD (ecologically sustainable design), and especially, passive solar design principals. The practice is highly experienced in working with not-for-profit organisations and within business sectors delivering well-considered and effective communication tools.
