Led by the architect Marcelo Macedo, the creative drive of Studio MEMM, from São Paulo (Brazil), stands on three elements, the sensitivity to understanding people, the inspirations from the future and its advents, and the cities where we construct our buildings. Sensitivity is the essence of architecture. It allows to understand people’s needs, to know how they live and seek their well-being. This is fundamental to design better spaces for people to live, work and have leisure. At the same time, Studio MEMM is fascinated by the future and brings it to its creative process, seeking to respond to the difficulties what is new. To develop the architecture of the future the Studio tests different materials, tools and software expecting to achieve new design results. When necessary, consultants and fabricators are incorporated to guarantee that ideas are technically feasible. The Studio takes a horizontal approach merging different design scales, creating relationship between furniture, interior design, architecture and the city. Finally Studio MEMM solutions respond to its clients’ needs, with a look into the future, integrating design to its surroundings.
