New gas condensing boiler Logano plus KB372 convinces with installation and service-oriented concept as well as flexible system integration


At ISH Energy, the system expert Buderus presents the gas condensing boiler Logano plus KB372 to trade visitors. This new boiler in the medium output range stands out through its optimised heat exchanger and a sophisticated boiler concept with low water flow resistances which permits its fast integration into almost every heating system. With its six output ratings of 75, 100, 150, 200, 250 and 300 kW, the Logano plus KB372 is especially suited for larger multi-family homes, office and commercial buildings as well as public facilities. The gas condensing boiler is also available as a two-boiler cascade with completely preinstalled pipework.


No hydraulic switch required Thanks to the optimised design of its heat exchanger, the condensing boiler has a very low water flow resistance of only 50 mbar at delta T15K. Heating contractors can therefore install the Logano plus KB372 without having to take any additional measures: All they have to do is connect the flow and return pipe to the boiler; a hydraulic switch is usually not required. This also applies to the installation of the preconfigured two-boiler cascade. Flow temperatures of up to 95 degrees C in combination with the system control unit Logamatic 5313 make the Logano plus KB372 suitable for a wide range of applications.


Customised control The gas condensing boiler can either be operated with the control system Logamatic EMS plus or with the control system Logamatic 5000. It can hence be integrated into heating systems of any complexity. The control system Logamatic EMS plus ensures optimum control in case of integration of the boiler into heating systems in the medium output range: This permits to operate the Logano plus KB372 in cascade systems or combine it with heat generators using renewable energy sources such as solar systems and up to four heating circuits. The control system can be expanded by corresponding modules and an Internet gateway for remote control can also be installed. For more complex medium to large heating systems in multi-family homes and commercial buildings, the gas condensing boiler can be combined with the control system Logamatic 5000. The Logano plus KB372 then cooperates perfectly with CHP plants or other heat generators as well as buffer storage tanks.


This control system also permits remote control over the Internet using, for instance, the control unit Logamatic 5313 with standard IP interface. Heating contractors can use the free Buderus Control Center Commercial for convenient monitoring, parameterisation at the operating level as well as access to the latest status and error messages. The Buderus Control Center CommercialPLUS, available for a fee, offers additional functions such as a system summary with status display and complete parameterisation also at the service level. A separately available gateway is required to benefit from these features.


Compact boiler with high output The new gas condensing boiler Logano plus KB372 has been developed for maximum efficiency. This has been achieved by a premix gas burner with a modulation range of 1:6 and a high-performance cast aluminium heat exchanger with excellent thermal conductivity. The Logano plus KB372 has been designed such that it can be operated with H-gas, L-gas or liquid gas. In spite of its high output, the gas condensing boiler has a footprint of only 0.5 (75-100 kW) or 0.9 square metres (200-300 kW).


A new x-shaped frame facilitates the transportation and installation of the boiler by heating contractors. Upon delivery, the condensing boiler can be placed on a conventional platform dolly and pushed to the place of installation. In addition, many parts such as the burner and the cross-beams for fixing the boiler casing can be quickly removed to further reduce the weight for transportation. Depending on the output rating, the transport units of the gas condensing boilers only weigh between 90 and 178 kilograms.


The flue gas connection can be moved from the front to the top, if required for space reasons. Thanks to the boiler’s service-oriented design, all relevant parts are very easily accessible for maintenance. A comprehensive range of accessories, for example for fast configuration of a two-boiler cascade, complete the convincing overall concept.
