The project contemplates the architectural renovation of some ancient rural villas in a very large property. Specific interventions have been made both for the construction of new appurtenances to serve the different houses and for the redesign of an entire portion of the hill landscape. Inside, two Corten steel staircases redeploy the living space with a new distribution; floors and ceilings have been totally restored and new technical systems have been introduced to garantee a perfect comfort.
Outside, the project includes planting iterventions all around and the installation of some panoramic pools. The new spaces that host the pools appare as large bases in support to the ancient architecture. Furthermore, both the restored buildings and the new additions are embellished by the local trachytic stone which has been used in various shapes and finishes.
