Das Grand Park Hotel Rovinj ist ein Aussichtspunkt für die schönste Etappe an der Adria. Unabhängig davon, wo sich der Gast im Hotel befindet, hat er den Eindruck, dass er sich in einem Park mit Blick auf Rovinj, die heilige Euphemia, die Insel der heiligen Katharina und den schönsten Sonnenuntergang am Meer aufhält. Direkt an der Küste, in der Nähe des Yachthafens und der Promenade gelegen, verbindet es den Innenstadtbereich mit den touristischen Attraktionen der Monte-Mulini-Zone.

Um sich in den bestehenden Wald einzufügen, sind die Böden so versetzt, dass sie der Neigung des Geländes folgen und große Terrassen, mediterrane Gärten, Pools und Sonnendecks bilden. Eine Bar mit Terrasse und ein a la carte Restaurant befinden sich in der Lobby und im Empfangsbereich, der über eine zentrale Treppe mit dem Hauptrestaurant verbunden ist. Große Bedeutung in der Ansicht der Hotels hatten fünf Pinienbäume, die seit über einem halben Jahrhundert auf dem Gelände wachsen. Der Kongresssaal überblickt die Halbinsel Rovinj durch das größte Glasfenster Europas.

Die Wellness-Zone umfasst ein Spa, eine Liegewiese und drei Swimmingpools, die sich auf zwei Etagen mit Blick auf die umliegenden Wälder und die Stadt erstrecken. Das Hauptschwimmbecken befindet sich teilweise in einem Glaspavillon, der sich im Sommer öffnet und das Innere mit dem Park und dem Meer verbindet.

Der italienische Architekt und Designer PieroLissoni war für die Innenarchitektur verantwortlich. Öffentliche Räume zeichnen sich durch eine Vielzahl von Details, eine Vielzahl von Typen und spezifischen Möbeln aus, die trotz ihrer gegenseitigen Vielfalt zusammen eine einzigartige Geschichte bilden. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit wurde dem Styling gewidmet. In den Zimmern herrschen erdige Töne und Farben vor - ein Kontrapunkt zu dem blauen Himmel und dem Meer, die das Hotel umgeben.

Die Bereiche entlang der Promenade unterscheiden sich funktional und formal von anderen Räumen. Sie sollen ein neuer Raum für geselliges Beisammensein sein, ein Platz mit vielfältigen Annehmlichkeiten. Eine entspannende Atmosphäre wird durch Wasserflächen, sorgfältig ausgewählte Pflasterung und Begrünung geschaffen, die bestimmte inhaltliche Zonen umrahmen und den gesamten Bereich attraktiv und zugänglich machen.

The Grand Park Hotel Rovinj, part of the Maistra Collection, is located in one of the most beautiful places in the Mediterranean where it looks over the sea and the historic centre of this Croatian town.

Lissoni Casal Ribeiro developed the interior design of the rooms and all the public areas, including those along the seafront which connect the new structure to the historic centre of Rovinj. The hotel comprises 2 reception areas, 193 rooms and 16 suites, 2 restaurants, 1 pool bar, 1 spa extending over 3800 sqm, 1 lobby bar, 3 pools (2 external and 1 internal) and the conference area.

Realized in collaboration with the Architecture Studio 3LHD from Zagreb, the Grand Park Hotel Rovinj has been designed as a leisure hotel and extends over 6 levels, all completely integrated into the hillside and surrounding vegetation. The spacious lobby is the heart of the project, providing access to the two-story, all-day restaurant and the terrace, the latter enjoying a unique view of the city of Rovinj.

Together with the stylist Carlos Baker, Lissoni Graphx designed the staff uniforms, from the general manager to the waiters, from the receptionist to the porter, from the pool boy to the staff of the wellness centre. The over 50 outfits match informal elegance with the feel of a bygone era, recalling the lacework and craftsmanship of local tradition and reconnecting to the colours of the interiors, from night blue to white and from Bordeaux to khaki.

Lissoni Casal Ribeiro was also responsible for curating the choice of artworks executed by seven different artists, which are placed in both the public areas and the rooms with the aim of establishing a dialogue with the interior design project. 

The idea of the art project was born by reflecting on the first-hand experience of Piero Lissoni himself, where the location was of great inspiration for the development of the interiors. The colour and constant presence of the sea, the reduced dimensions and conformation of the city of Rovinj and the cultural mix given by historical overlaying all had a determining role in the design. For this reason, the artists involved were asked to realize works that were closely linked to the territory and to the context, also through a direct and personal experience of Rovinj. Each of them stayed for a period in the area, during which time they developed the works expressing their own vision through the use of different languages and techniques.

The artists involved are Veronica Gaido, whose photographs feature in each room, Roberta Patalani, who realized an enormous, site specific bas-relief that forms a backdrop to the reception in the Promenade Lobby, together with the Croatian artists Klara Rusan, Danjiel Srdarev, Marco Tadik, Hana Tintor and Predrag Todorović, each of whom have expressed their personal styles through visionary illustrations.

Hidden in a pine forest on the promenade overlooking the island of Santa Caterina and the charming town of Rovinj, the Grand Park Hotel Rovinj is a five-star hotel that is part of the Maistra Collection brand of the Maistra Hospitality Group, which includes luxury and premium hotels, located in the most attractive part of Rovinj.

The interior design of the hotel is signed by the famous Italian architect Piero Lissoni, while the architecture is by the Croatian Studio 3LHD.

With a total capacity of 458 beds, the hotel has 198 rooms and 11 suites on six floors.

But not only that, there is also a spa, beaches, swimming pools, restaurants and bars.

The Lissoni studio has paid special attention to the choice of materials that finish the internal areas of the hotel and also to all the small details, such as the handles.

In fact, LINK by Piero Lissoni was used for all the hotel doors, a handle tied to the idea of ​​an essential aesthetic, almost an archetype.

“In my architectural projects I needed a handle that was close to my way of designing: a discreet object that had good proportions, that was eye-catching, but not over the top. The starting point for the design was linked to the idea of ​​an industrial rather than decorative aesthetic," explains Piero Lissoni, "thus Link was born, which perfectly fulfills its function and which is still used in most of our projects."

A handle that is well suited to this magical environment in which innovation and tradition, art and design are combined.

Grossformatige Panoramaverglasungen, gekonnt inszeniert, wurden teils mit Stahl-, teils mit Aluminiumprofilen realisiert. Immer kombinieren sie maximale Aussicht mit maximalem Komfort, sowohl hinsichtlich der thermischen Anforderungen als auch der leichten Bedienbarkeit.

In der repräsentativen, halböffentlichen obersten Ebene, wo unter anderem Haupteingang, Foyer und Lobby angeordnet sind, unterstreichen die kroatischen Architekten 3LHD ihre klare Architektursprache mit der VISS Fassade. Das Luxusresort Grand Park Hotel Rovinj wurde von der Zeitschrift Hotelforum mit einem der begehrtesten Preise in der Hotellerie auszeichnete, nämlich dem „Hotel Property Award 2020“.

Absolutes Highlight in punkto Aussicht ist das Panoramafenster des grossen Saals; es misst 15 x 3,2 Meter. Hierzu wurde auf eine Unterkonstruktion aus Stahl das Profilsystem AWS 70 von Schüco aufgesetzt.
