Mobile hut is the result of the search for a new form of mobile living. It is a designer house providing complete comfort for living with one difference – it is possible to “pack” and transport it anywhere you want. The aim of this product which is halfway between architecture and design is to open new ways of temporary living in exorbitantly expensive cities and in places where it is usually not possible to build. The dwelling is in harmony with the current trend of nomad lifestyle trend and offers its users the possibility to escape from stereotypical habits of the consumer society and get closer to the nature.
The form of the house follows the shape of archetypal house with gable roof. Glossy aluminium covering is a perfect casing resistant to the toughest weather conditions. It contrasts with the surrounding environment, which is also reflected in it. The size of the house meets all limits for use on roads. Its dimensions are (width x height x length) 2.3 x 3.9 x 5 meters. Usable area including the tillable terrace and the storey for sleeping is spacey 19 square meters. Mobile Hut can thanks to sophisticated solution of the interior fully replace a two-bedroom flat with a kitchenette.
The interior is covered by thin boards made of spruce strips. This material was also used for all completely atypical furniture. The generosity and airiness of the indoor environment was achieved by elevating the main space by opening it to the gable roof and a thanks to a large French window. Minimalist interior made of natural material creates a cosy scene, which is maximally connected with the exterior through the windows. Every millimetre of the space is designed so effectively that it can comfortably sleep four people.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, sink and a two-plate cooker. The maintenance-free white bathroom is equipped with a shower, sink and chemical toilet. In the interior there are many cabinets and storage space, which allow complete living in the house. Atypical furniture can be positioned in various ways and thus use the main space in various ways such as: dining room, living room, study, gym or bedroom. The heart of the house is the wood burning stove, which also serves as a backup source of heat. Lighting is ensured by design 12V LED lights.
The construction of the house is made of self-supporting sandwich panels, which are glued to each other. This technology allowed the product to be significantly lightened without losing its durability and thermal properties comparable to conventional construction. The total weight of the product including the chassis is only 2100 kilograms. The house can be conveniently transported by a larger car, van or SUV with a trailer.
Mobile Hut has started serial production and is available in two versions. The basic version is adapted to the mains connection and drinking water supply. The off-grid version of the Mobile Hut also includes photovoltaic panels, high-capacity accumulators, drinking/wastewater tanks and two 10-kilogram gas cylinders for hot-air heating and water heating. The dwelling can be controlled and checked remotely via the Internet.
The product is an approved O2 type trailer with a technical license and a license plate. There is no need for placement permit. It is enough to agree with the land’s owner or park at reserved places. Mobile Hut can be used almost anywhere: in the countryside, in a town without the necessity of connection to technical infrastructure.
