Dolomithusene harmoniously blends the best aspects of townhouses, apartments, and single-family homes to achieve a higher level of building density without compromising on the quality of light, air, and space. This project has been awarded a DGNB Silver certification and comprises a total of 35 apartments and 16 townhouses.

The homes feature an elegant and inviting entrance with overhead skylights. Upon entering through the front door, you are welcomed into a bright and spacious kitchen and living area that seamlessly extends into a private garden. Thoughtfully situated along the way are a wardrobe and a guest toilet, conveniently accessible from the stairwell. The staircase in the hallway leads to the other rooms within the residence.

"The houses are oriented in a yin-yang pattern that creates alternating entrances and gardens within the same facade alignment. The row houses embrace both streets, ensuring that no back sides are created, but rather active fronts, and the residents of the Dolomite Houses become a part of life on both streets."
-Janina Zerbe, Creative Director and Partner at KHR Architecture

At the top, there is a rooftop garden that faces the opposite side of the backyard. Given the north-south orientation of the development, each house enjoys a south-facing garden, either on the roof or as an extension of the kitchen-living area.

These houses incorporate a dynamic fifth facade that captures natural light and allows for a deep building design with abundant daylight streaming in from three sides. Throughout the day, sunlight gracefully dances across the floor, creating sunny spots on the staircase where one can sit and unwind. The staircase becomes an element that enhances the sense of space, both due to the incoming light from above and as a place that accommodates the need for informal and spontaneous gatherings in the heart of the home. The overhead natural light provides excellent orientation within the house, while the room's lofty ceilings promote a chimney effect that ensures fresh air circulation and prevents overheating.
