Hunan Terraza

Cuaik CDS en tant que Architectes.

The project involves the renovation of the terrace of the iconic Chinese restaurant in Mexico City, operated by the Hunan Group. The design of Hunan's new terrace is based on the implementation of neutral and warm tones, which contrast with the lush vegetation that is an integral part of the space. It is an elegant and welcoming design, enhanced with touches of wood that soften the space. The terrace, enveloped and covered with glass, allows natural light to flood the area, creating an experience that blends nature with sophistication. Additionally, carefully curated art pieces add dynamism and character to the environment.

The terrace, a place that has witnessed countless moments and flavors over the years, has been transformed into a visual and sensory fluidity that embraces the essence of nature along with elegance.

Neutral and warm tones define the space, weaving a tapestry that contrasts with the abundant vegetation intertwined with the project's design. The result is a palette that evokes warmth and serenity, inviting diners to immerse themselves in a gastronomic experience that extends beyond the palate.

Wood mixes with the structure and furnishings, adding a touch of authenticity and comfort. Each detail has been carefully selected to provide a sense of well-being and sophistication for the user.

The terrace, now sheltered by a glass roof, is bathed in unobstructed natural light. The indoor and outdoor environments blend organically, offering visitors a sense of connection with the surrounding landscape while enjoying the protection and comfort of the covered space.

Strategically placed art pieces infuse vitality and dynamism into the design. Each piece has been curated with precision to bring character and narrative to the location.

The restaurant has successfully merged tradition and modernity in a harmony of tones, textures, and light. The terrace renovation is not only a tribute to the history of the place but also a celebration of the constant evolution and creativity that define it.
