Second Home continues their collaboration with selgascano for a coworking space in Hollywood. Selgascano opted for a lush garden scattered with 60 oval pavilions dug four feet into the ground. Instead of bringing the garden inside the office, the architects chose to bring the office out to the garden.

The project consists of a preexisting building redesigned to house 200 workspaces and 320 roaming places, alongside a cafe, bar, restaurant and conference hall, and 60 new oval shaped individual offices inside a garden that together can hold 700 workplaces. Wooden and concrete paths meander through the garden and allow for a stroll with year long flowers.

The project turned 90,800 square feet of parking space into 70,000 square feet of landscape. The plants reduce the temperature and provide shade. Transparent curved walls give its users the feeling of working among nature. The open facade eliminates the need for artificial lighting and can be opened for cross-ventilation.

Second Home Hollywood marks the sixth collaboration with selgascano. Previously they collaborated for coworking spaces Clerkenwell, Holland Park, Lisbon, London Fields and Spitalfields.
