Architect Ruchir Sheth and Interior Designer Krupal Sheth of Design Studio Associates have designed and delivered a chic 3 BHK Sample Flat in the heart of the city of Vadodara. From colour combinations, to design patterns and choice of textures, every element used in the design is a testament to the Classical Style of Interior Designing.
“A sample flat always has an aspirational value attached to it. When you show someone a sample flat, it should make that family want to have a home like the one projected in a sample flat. So when we start designing, we always stive to make it look both, attractive and functional,” says Architect Ruchir Sheth.

With colour combinations of creams and reds, this room embodies the spirit of a blushing girl. A fashionably chic chocolate backdrop steals the show with its intricate design. The nesting center table with marble top and the hints of antique golden shade in the accessories in the room creates a perfect harmony of shades, textures and patterns.
The difference in the shades of the colour scheme of dinning area and the living room ensures that the design in the open floor plan remains cohesive while also ensuring appropriate differentiation. The semi-circular chair backs with a traditional pattern on the back and a plain red fabric on the front create an alluring contrast with the solid wood dining table. A designated pooja area is embellished with a tranquil feather-patterned backdrop.

The modular kitchen borrows the colour scheme of creams and browns, making the space look neat. The beige floating cabinets, the island breakfast counter with rich maroon high-chairs and the chocolate brown backsplash of the workstation are all in-line with the classical theme of the house.
Curated to show a sense of calmness, this bedroom embodies the beiges, creams and browns to create a serene space. The pendant lights for the bedside tables, the long cream curtains and the beautifully crafted headboard of the bed paints an amicable focal point.
Keeping in line with the colour schematics and classical theme of the interior, the design palette of this room has colours of taupe, and classical elements in the tiniest of details such as the bobbin legs of the furniture. The inlaid marble-stone design that acts as a wall mural, and the tightly paneled wall of the TV land a beautiful integration of textures to the room.

With a cherry red bed that pops out from the tan and camel colours of the room, this master bedroom is a showcase of luxury. The intricately designed wall behind the bed presents a royal background. The chandelier, the wall-mounted bedside table lamps and the vintage design of the bedpost create a symbiosis of sophistication.
“The use of different fabrics, variations in shades of the same colour palette, and incorporation of different textures has played a vital role in creating this design. The idea was to not just make it ‘look’ good, but have a design that makes you ‘feel.’ This design has a lot of heart and soul,” concludes Architect RuchirSheth and Interior Designer KrupalSheth.
