House in Kikuicho “a Double Skin house”

An exterior wall has an important role. It separates inside and outside. In many cases in wooden structure, exterior walls are divided into many layers for different purposes. The outer layer protect against weather, dirt and fire while inner layers need fireproofing as well as aesthetical attributes. As a result ,the total thickness can be 20 cm thick. For this project we developed and add one more layer to it. External skins softens incoming light and blurs visibilities. Its Insulated air space enhances sense of depth from different angle of views.
