Located in Hong Lok Yuen, a low-density luxury estate in Tai Po, Hong Kong, the resort-inspired townhouse is designed for a young couple by Hintegro architects.
On entering the house, one is welcomed by a semi-outdoor space flooded with natural light through the skylight, a fish pond and a hundred-year-old prized bonsai. The inner foyer features taupe-coloured ceramic flooring and a wooden shoe cabinet specially designed for the owner’s sneaker collection.
Visually connected through a round window, the living room allows the owners to enjoy views of their supercars in the garage. A place for the husband to spend his leisure time, the garage is a display of his vivid interests, from cars to skateboards to picture frames of his current and past car collections.
Adorned with Hermes pieces, the adjoining living and dining room sits in a palette of walnut and beige with a pop of colour from the orange luxury items and the tropical green on the porcelain tableware.
Therefore, the townhouse gives resort-like aesthetics while inducing a warm, homely feeling, providing the users with a space to indulge in.
