Mosaic floor tiles

A unique styled mosaic that awakens the soul of the spectator “Painting is sensing an image where there is only canvass. Mosaics are painted through history."

Friul Mosaic introduces Frammenti, elemental Fragment mosaic panels at Cersaie 2013. Their expressive contents, various elemental shapes, and hypnotic colors combine contemporary trend and antique tradition. For more than 30 years Friul Mosaic workshop, located in san Martino al Tagliamento (PN), has stood out for quality, passion, creativity, and the talent of its mosaic craftsmen.

Originality and inspiration distinguish this new creative expression, "Abissi", in which marble and enamel tesserae are arranged into a dynamic play based on strength and balance between shapes and colors that are renewed from one “rug” to the other. The spectator will see a kaleidoscope of repeating geometric elements that give birth to precious arabesques.

The whites, greys, and blacks shine but inserts of red patches that thus become capable of reaching the soul. This panel as well as the complete line gives motion to an otherwise static wall covering. The concept of mosaic covering is reinterpreted and becomes a contemporary trend.

Size: 60x150 cm.
