Traces of History

An ideal journey, where the frescoes are seen as the heritage of that age-old technique, so intrinsically linked to Italian art, a tale of history and beauty. The result is an evocative and eclectic interpretation of a tradition that is projected into the contemporary world and transformed into emotion.
The transversal collection with its strong materiality conveys a feeling of fascination and lends itself to sophisticated interior design. The enveloping aesthetic effect is surprisingly balanced and is achieved by the versatility of surfaces that can be installed on floors and walls.
With its soft relief structure, characterised by slight waves, trowel marks and small hollows, Affrescati has a sophisticated identity, which does not generically recall the delabré effect – a refined negligence -, rather it draws inspiration from traditional Italian wall frescoes. An original layering of colours, manual actions and traces of time enhanced by the large dimensions of the sizes.
The five shades update the main pigments used in classical decoration: Calce (the whites), Ombre (the dark earths), Ocra (the yellows), Terra (the warm tones, sienna and burnt earth), Lapis (from lapis lazuli, the blue). An unusual and contemporary palette, further enhanced by the decoration expressing our in-depth historical research.
The Giotto decoration is a cultured reference to the origin of the collection and can be installed both on walls and floors. Giotto pays homage to the masterpieces of the Master painter, evoking him through the golden stars, a distinctive element of his style, to suggest an atmosphere of eternal beauty in the settings.
The surface is characterised by a wavy texture that layers several marks, but the minimal variation between one tile and another creates an overall homogeneous effect with slight overall colour shading.
The sizes are 120×120, 120×60. In addition, the all-new 80×80 (with the 40×80 sub-module) emphasises the path of innovation and constant updating to which we are committed to catch changes in taste and new stylistic languages.
