Hörmann ALR 67 Thermo is an aluminium industrial sectional door system designed for buildings where transparency, daylight, and thermal performance are required. The door uses 67 mm aluminium profiles with a thermal break, allowing large areas of glazing while reducing heat transfer between inside and outside.
The system is suited to commercial, industrial, and public-facing spaces where visual connection and natural light are important, including workshops, showrooms, collective garages, and other heated areas. Depending on the configuration, the door can be specified with different glazing and infill options, including climatic glazing and ThermoFrame, to improve thermal performance.
From a sustainability perspective, ALR 67 Thermo can support operational energy reduction by limiting heat loss through large glazed openings. Hörmann states that, with optional climatic glazing and ThermoFrame, the ALR 67 Thermo can improve thermal insulation by up to 55 percent compared with ALR F42, reaching U-values of up to 1.6 W/(m²·K) depending on the door configuration. By combining daylight access with improved insulation, the system can help reduce the environmental impact of heated spaces where conventional glazed doors may otherwise create a thermal weak point.
The product also benefits from Hörmann’s wider environmental documentation. Hörmann provides Environmental Product Declarations for many products to support assessment systems such as DGNB, LEED, and BREEAM, while its industrial doors are available as CO2-neutral products on request. Project-specific sustainability claims should be confirmed against the exact ALR 67 Thermo configuration, glazing specification, and supplied product documentation.
