New series of water cooled chillers and heat pumps The new chillers and heat pumps from DencoHappel, which are presented at the ISH, can be used in various application fields, such as for the air-conditioning of office buildings, hotels, museums, hospitals or public buildings. Heating applications in combination with geometric plants or process air conditioning in data centres as well as production plants are just as much of the numerous fields of application. They are suitable for indoor and outdoor installation, are air or water cooled and offer a power range from 10 to 2,655 kW rated output. They are available in a wide range of variants and accessories.

Energy efficiency through product design and configuration Electronic expansion valves are standard configuration for the new devices. Through their use, both the superheat and the condensing pressure can be reduced to a minimum. This makes it possible to further increase energy efficiency. The equipment set-up was also optimized by a reduced number of components used. This new platform forms the basis for further equipment series. For units with two refrigerant circuits, two-circuit evaporators and condensers with only one water circuit are used. In addition to the smaller space requirement and the reduced weight, this also results in a higher energy efficiency in partial load operation. External pipe connections for the assembly of the waterways can be omitted.

Ready for ErP 2021 All chillers for comfort air-conditioning, which are marketed within the EU from 1st January 2018, have to meet the requirements of EU 2016/2281. The regulation stipulates, among other things, the minimum energy efficiency of the equipment. When calculating the so-called SEER value (Seasonal Energy Efficiency), the main focus is on the energy efficiency in the partial load behaviour of the devices. The devices of the series GLWC / H 2012 - 4120 CD2 (.H / .R) already fulfil the more stringent requirements of the second stage of the EU regulation, which starts from 1.1.2021.

Numerous performance ranges and flexible system expansion The performance level of the new GLWC / H - CD2 series ranges from 38 kW to 253 kW and is covered by two scroll compressors in a refrigerant circuit. In the power range from 191 kW to 397 kW, four scroll compressors are used in two refrigerant circuits. A total of 22 performance variables are available. If required, up to 5 units can be controlled in a 5 hydraulic network via a so-called master / slave control. This allows the overall performance of a system to be adjusted easily and subsequently. Heat pump models are available in two different versions. Version GLWH - CD2.R is equipped with a 4-way reversing valve for each refrigerant circuit so that it can be cooled or heated by a 2-pipe system. The version GLWH - CD2.H maintains the functioning of the heat exchangers so that the cold and warm water sides remain unchanged during heating and cooling operation. A change-over is carried out by the customer in the hydraulic network. The range of application ranges for cold water temperatures in the outlet from -10 ° C to 18 °C for hot water temperatures from 20 ° C to a maximum of 58 °C.
