CHINA KITCHEN, the continuation of the tradition The Chinese society is composed of family as the basic unit. Once the families reach harmony, the country stays in peace. Eating and drinking is the absolute center of family life, because eating and drinking is the only common need and interest of the family members in different age and gender. In a more popular parlance, the family is naturally harmonized when everybody eats and drinks well. Comparing to the western behavior of sitting at a long table and eating from one’s own plate, the Chinese dining habits of sitting at a round table and sharing food together are obviously more conducive to the formation of a harmonious family atmosphere. Food itself is an extremely important interpersonal communication. The active and busy atmosphere at the table is often incomparable by the western. Such catering obviouslyhas very high requirements for kitchen and kitchenware. Traditional Chinese kitchen can almost be seen as a big workshop, which must become the absolute center of family life during the holidays. Unfortunately, having entered modern life, the Chinese people have clearly not provided necessary support to such an important cultural tradition of home life by means of architectural and industrial design. Such a lack of living tools is affecting the harmonic lives of Chinese people.
CHINA KITCHEN, the beginning of a Chinese dream So far there haven't been any Chinese nor international kitchen brands who have made a kitchen especially catering to the requirements and convention of the Chinese. China Kitchen is a combination of the high quality of ‘Made in Italy’, the most advanced European industrial standard from VenetaCucine, and the comprehensive research into the extensive and profound food and cooking culture of China by the designer Min Chen. The China Kitchen that we present today is the first fruits of half a year of hard work from both the designer and the engineers at VenetaCucine that involved: multi-level operation, double working flow system, and green thinking. In fact there are more concepts of this kitchen concerning electronic kitchen appliances and interior planning that couldn’t be realized in only half a year. However, it is a first step of great historical significance. What we want to share today is not the result but merely a start, the start of a Chinese dream of a contemporary kitchen that takes advantage of the advanced Italian manufacturing knowledge. - Min Chen
