Cross-laminated timber (CLT) uses prefabricated, multi-layered panels of cross-glued solid wood, sourced from sustainably managed forests, to create complete building systems. This offers a sustainable construction process with numerous advantages: Wood's natural properties contribute to CO2-neutral production, construction time is up to 50% faster compared to concrete or steel, and its inherent insulation and moisture regulation create a comfortable indoor climate. The combination of better insulation, lower energy bills, and faster construction results in cost-effective and efficient builds.
