Ælement Fusion is an electronic lock with an extremely small reader accentuated by an interactive light ring. It does not require any fittings on the door and is installed wire-free. The minimalist design of the reader fits harmoniously with any hotel interior design.

Ælement Fusion consists of a reader unit with selectable cover (white or black), a control unit built into the door and a mortise lock connected to the electronics. The reader on the outside of the door is the only visible part of the electronic lock. It is round, measures 45 mm in diameter and 8 mm in depth. It is enclosed with an LED light ring. An optional privacy knob can be installed on the inside of the door. For Ælement Fusion, SALTO offers a wide range of designer door handles with different finishes. Installation and operation is wire-free.

Ælement Fusion does not require any fittings, as all electronic components are installed in the door. In this way, it offers practically invisible security. The lock gives the door an elegant appearance and at the same time increases security thanks to the concealed electronics. Despite the "invisible innovation" and the renunciation of conventional door fittings, Ælement Fusion offers the same functionality as other electronic SALTO escutcheons.

Ælement Fusion is designed for communication via RFID, NFC and Bluetooth (BLE). Thanks to Bluetooth, guests and employees can use their smartphone as a key. For this purpose, JustIN Mobile technology is used for mobile access via smartphone using BLE. In addition, Ælement Fusion works with SALTO BLUEnet for wire-free networking with online functionalities and with the SALTO Virtual Network (SVN) with patented read-write technology and encrypted data transmission. Identification technologies include MIFARE Classic, DESFire EV1 and others, HID iCLASS and the Hilton Digital Key. The lock is designed for wooden interior doors at an operating temperature of 0 to 60 °C. One set of batteries lasts for up to 50,000 openings.
