Duco introduces new sliding panel in XXL size Architects are increasingly testing the limits of façade surfaces, which are being designed to be ever larger, higher and more technical. In order to be able to respond appropriately to this changing trend and to provide such buildings with a comfortable indoor climate, the R&D team of ventilation and solar shading specialist Duco developed an entirely new, architectural solar shading solution in XXL size.
DucoSlide LuxFrame 45/130 is the name of the most recent development within Duco’s range of aluminium sliding panels, specifically intended for large façade surfaces in non-residential buildings, collective residential buildings (duplexes) or luxury homes.
Robust LuxFrame frame profile Characterised by a strong and robust LuxFrame frame profile of 45 x 130 mm, it can handle heights of up to 6 m, but a range of up to 2.80 m per panel is also possible. The aesthetic, “wing-shaped” Ellips 150 louvre blades in the frame profile have an angle of inclination of 45°, providing optimum exclusion of both heat and light. In addition, besides anodisation, any RAL colour is possible, and this design satisfies the Qualicoat quality specifications.
Just like any other type within the DucoSlide range, the sliding panels can be controlled manually or electronically, with the option to extend with Duco’s ‘Vario’ guide system. This can easily compensate for any unevennesses in the ground. That also means easier installation, assembly and adjustment for the fitter.
