CROSSFIX is the new substructure system from EJOT. The substructure is made of stainless steel and can be used for horizontal and vertical mounting of the supporting profiles. Fixed points and sliding points can also be realized with the same console. The system is EN-1090-1-certified, seismically tested, conforms to the Passive House Standard, and has received the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). The stainless steel substructure has a high static load capacity and better fire behaviour. By using stainless steel, CROSSFIX reduces the thermal conductivity compared to aluminium substructures. The stainless steel substructure can significantly reduce the thermal bridge surcharge: strongly improved U-values can be achieved with the same insulation thickness, or, less insulation is needed to achieve the same U-values as with aluminium consoles, thus saving material costs and enabling larger usable space resulting from smaller wall widths.
