I consider design an exercise in visual economy. For this handle, I gave myself the challenge to reduce the number of elements as much as I could. I eliminated all except for three basic units. Light does the rest. On this tabula rasa, the conjunction between the cylinder and the parallelepiped comes to the foreground. It is based on a wonderful technique for which I am grateful to Olivari. The two variants of the rose correspond to a dilemma I have faced many a time: should it be square because it is fixed to the door, or should it be round because the lever revolves around an axis?
