The Gira Sensotec and Gira Sensotec LED provide greater security in the dark by automatically switching on an orientation light when they detect motion in the long range. The Gira Sensotec uses dimmed room lighting for this function, while the Gira Sensotec LED features an integrated LED orientation light for this purpose. If required, room lighting can be switched on undimmed without contact when motion is detected in the close range of 5 cm.
The Gira Sensotec LED uses an integrated LED light to provide orientation lighting which switches on automatically. Thus it unites the functions of a motion detector, an LED orientation light, and a contactless switch within one device for the first time. Like the Gira Sensotec, the Gira Sensotec LED also works using sensor technology based on the doppler effect. When motion is detected, the integrated LED light subtly illuminates the surroundings to provide orientation within the room.
