The oak kitchen door collection started a few years ago while we were rebuilding an old house for clients. Everyone, who grew up in de 70’s and later, recognizes them. These dark brown oak kitchens with panel doors. Wasn’t it at your own or parents place, then at your grandma’s our neighbours. Holyscrap uses these panel doors as a starting point for the design of a series of furniture and places these doors in a totally different perspective. The designs from this series we call the Kitchen Door Series. Holyscrap 44 High Legged Cabinet from the Kitchen Door Series is a small cabinet on twelve round legs with different diameters. This long legged cabinet feels right at home on different spots in your place. You can place it in your living room with nice flowers or a statue on top for example. Or use it in your hallway, for keys, shawls and mittens. Holyscrap 44 High Legged Cabinet is a one-off, there’s only made one of it.
How Its Made
All Holyscrap designs are handmade in our Amsterdam based studio / workshop. Every item is (fire)stamped and has it’s own, unique number punched in it. Holyscrap 44 High Legged Cabinet is made of birch plywood and has one osb door and one kitchen door. This door is placed on a 45 degrees angle. Holyscrap nr. 44 is finished with a matt lacquer. The kitchen door is spray painted in high gloss steel blue. This cabinet is 100 cm high x 59,5 cm wide x 30 cm deep.
