The Hybrid Unitised Façade (HUF) by Staticus is a prefabricated curtain wall system that combines glulam timber structural framing with aluminium connectors and high-performance glazing. Developed as an alternative to conventional aluminium-dominant unitised facades, the system replaces primary mullions and transoms with engineered timber, reducing embodied carbon while maintaining structural integrity and thermal performance. Aluminium is retained only where required for durability and precision, typically with a high recycled content.

The system is factory-assembled to improve quality control and minimise on-site waste, and can accommodate both transparent and opaque panel configurations with integrated insulation. The system has undergone full performance testing and is CE marked in line with European standards, while its development and manufacture are supported by ISO-certified quality and environmental management systems. HUF contributes to broader building-level schemes such as BREEAM through its reduced embodied carbon and material efficiency.
