Viracon Insulating Glass consists of two or more glass plies separated by a hermetically sealed spacer, with triple insulating units incorporating three plies and two sealed cavities. Low-E coatings and argon-filled spaces can be incorporated to improve solar and thermal performance, reduce condensation, and provide a barrier against moisture infiltration. A range of substrates, coatings, printing options, heat treatments, and spacer systems allows the glazing to be tailored to project-specific performance and aesthetic requirements.

By reducing centre-of-glass U-values, Viracon Insulating Glass limits heat loss during winter and heat gain during summer. Low-E coatings can balance visible-light transmission with solar control, supporting occupant comfort while reducing heating and cooling demand and associated operational energy use. Triple glazing and VTS® warm-edge spacers can provide further improvements in thermal performance, while the sealed construction and improved acoustics support a comfortable internal environment.
