Interior Lighting
Floor lamps and Wall lamps

Ixa is a complete and versatile family which is combined by pairing an adjustable spherical head with rods and counterweights in order to shed light into space and move it freely in order to generate functional and dynamic light scenarios.

It is a smart and scalable principle that allows the Ixa family to expand with the addition of new versions.

A larger head is combined with two new structures, wall and ceiling, recalibrated to balance the weight and bring light into the space to respond to different lighting needs.

In Ixa XL, the head does not have a magnetic connection like Ixa, but it slides and turns thanks to a calibrated mechanism.

The larger sized head allows a wider beam angle, plus a more intense and diffused light emission. The new versions offer great freedom thanks to the 360-degree rotation of the joint that connects the load-bearing stem to the counterbalance stem.

Ixa brings light to where it is needed, inviting us to physically interact with the object that makes us take conscious control of our light space, allowing us to calibrate it according to our needs. Ixa is the expression of functional, productive and sustainable intelligence through deliberate choices of reduction and simplification, the result of a solid design know-how.

Artemide and Foster+Partners share a profound approach to sustainable design that permeates product development at every stage and singles itself out as an essential element of the project. Several single elements can be combined to create many versions with materials and processes having been chosen based on the lowest environmental impact.

The different parts of the structure can be easily assembled and taken apart in order to reduce the size of the packaging and the environmental impact of transport.

Flexibility and functionality, quality and dynamism of light, simple, soft lines, with a classic, simple look turn Ixa into a timeless project, which can be reinterpreted in countless situations for a long life, the basis of a sustainable project.

The different elements can be combined to create lighting scenarios that are perfect for private and public spaces, for living and working. Ixa is a transversal system because it is open to interpretation and responds to the changing light requirements dictated by the succession of different daily activities.
