is a painter and multimedia artist. Born in Athens in 1964, he lives between Los Angeles and London. He attended the Fine Arts Academy of Brera, in Milan, where he began his career in the 1980s with a personal exhibit at the Fac-simile Gallery. His work has been displayed in some of the world’s most prestigious galleries, foundations and museums, including the Gagosian and Yvon Lambert galleries, the Fondation Cartier, the MoMA PS1 and Venice Biennale, and is present in distinguished private collections. The two vases he has created for Adele C, which will be produced in a limited series of 99, each one with individual characteristics of shape and color composition, are part of a personal project entitled “Pollock”: virtual paintings made with an application that recreates the dripping technique used by American painter Jackson Pollock. When placed on the vase surfaces, these chromatic compositions give life to forceful implosions within the individual color points, creating an effect which – thanks also to the artistry of ceramic masters - makes for a unique and unprecedented viewing experience. We’ve named them Jackson in memory of Pollock, and Janet as a homage to Janet Sobel, the amateur artist who inspired him.
