Thanks to its strong core, white oak is the best specie to produce this type of flooring with. With board lengths up to 10 feet and an average of 6 to 7 feet, live sawn white oak is an incredible option for hardwood flooring, as it provides the beautiful look of wide boards but also the stability to withstand varying temperature & humidity changes. The character that the live sawn method gives to the white oak is incredibly unique. By cutting through the entire width of the log, every bit of variation in the grain is preserved and reflected in the floor. This also makes the flooring very stable. A 7” live sawn board will be just as stable as a plain sawn 4” plank. Ready to be even more impressed?
