To help builders and decking contractors better target their individual customers’ specific deck design needs and budgets, Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies (A.E.R.T.) offers the MoistureShield Vantage Collection™. The environmentally friendly wood-plastic composite decking line balances performance and cost, while offering the green-building benefits of other MoistureShield decking and railing products. www.moistureshield.com
Deck planks in the MoistureShield Vantage Collection are 1” by 6” (1” by 5.5” actual dimensions) and are embossed with a realistic wood grain finish on both sides, making them fully reversible. Building professionals can order the solid decking boards with or without grooves to accommodate hidden fastening systems. Colors include: Seasoned Mahogany, Rustic Cedar, Cape Cod Gray, Earthtone, Desert Sand, Walnut, TigerWood and Bridle.
“As the economy starts to rebound, more people are making home improvements they’ve been putting off, and a new or rebuilt deck is often at the top of their list,” says Brent Gwatney, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for MoistureShield. “Many of them want to build green, without sacrificing beauty and without breaking the bank. With the Vantage Collection, builders can offer them a quality, affordable choice that meets all of these needs.”
MoistureShield composite decking materials and composite decking accessories are manufactured using AERT’s unique processing technologies that encapsulate recycled wood fibers in recycled polyethylene plastic. They are resistant to rot, decay, moisture and insects, and are backed by a limited lifetime warranty. MoistureShield products exceed the requirements for landscape decking published in the LEED® for Homes green building standard.
