Kunshan Stadium Selects PTFE Membranes for Innovative Canopy Design
Kunshan Stadium features a striking canopy constructed using 61,000 sqm of B18589 PTFE membrane, supplied by the Serge Ferrari Group. This advanced PTFE fabric offers excellent translucency, allowing abundant natural light to illuminate the interior while protecting spectators from adverse weather conditions.
The underside of the canopy is further enhanced with two additional fabrics — GF-7000 and GFi2000 — both recognized for their outstanding durability and ease of installation.
In total, the project incorporates approximately 73,000 sqm of PTFE membranes, selected for their superior fire resistance, longevity, and ability to withstand harsh weather. With these materials, the Kunshan Olympic Stadium meets the highest standards required for world-class sporting venues.
