Carlisle Sure-Flex Fully-Adhered PVC Roofing Membrane is a single-ply, heat-weldable PVC (polyvinyl chloride) membrane that is reinforced with weft-inserted polyester fabric. It is available in nominal finished thicknesses of 50 mil, 60 mil, and 80 mil.
The membrane comes in a variety of colors, including white, gray, light gray, slate gray, and tan. Its fully adhered system means the membrane is bonded to the substrate using adhesives. This design maximizes stability and provides uplift protection, particularly in areas that experience high winds or are situated at elevated locations.
The membrane also features polyester scrim reinforcement for added durability. Sheets are overlapped and joined through heat welding (hot-air welds) of a minimum width, with adhesives used between the membrane and substrate for effective bonding.
In addition to its structural benefits, the membrane offers excellent durability and resistance to chemicals, grease, and UV rays. Its reflective surfaces contribute to "cool roof" behavior, enhancing energy efficiency and thermal comfort.
