The product family 'Raita' was launched during Stockholm Furniture Fair 2016 and consist of ceiling-, pendant- and walluminaires.
The family is based around 4 different diameters, each having two different standard heights.
The diameters and heights have been selected in order to achieve a minimum amount of wasted material, with the smaller rings being manufactured by materials from within a larger ring.
The luminaries were designed after a desired function of the light was identified, a direct light distribution with a glare free light. The lamellae create gradient transitions of the light, while illuminating the luminary itself.
The light source, a highly effective LED-module, is placed behind a 3-layered opaque mouth blown glass.
The series can be manufactured with more lamellae and be painted in other colors by request.
