RE-WORK is a new coloured body porcelain tile series that stems from ABK’s desire to create a complete and versatile floor and wall tile collection with contemporary surfaces inspired by nature. It is the result of a research project that has involved analysing numerous different types of stone, selecting certain characteristics and converting these into ceramic by artificially creating colour variations and new graphic combinations that did not exist in the natural materials.

The RE-WORK project consists of six colours obtained from scanned specimens of individual varieties of stone, along with 2 stone patchworks – Fog and Beige – that combine the distinctive characteristics of different stones. Bone and Warm, the warmest colours in the collection, belong to the category of Limestones, characterised by a fine grain size and a fairly uniform appearance interrupted by subtle transversal veins. Sandstone, with its characteristically oriented stratifications, comes in colours White and Grey. Last but not least, Silver and Black are reminiscent of volcanic stones, where homogeneous crystalline formations alternate with the chiaroscuro effects of intrusions and sediments.

RE-WORK comes in a wide range of sizes and a variety of surface options, including a specific nonslip surface for exterior use (R11) and a nonslip surface with a thickness of 20 mm (R11).
