theEDGE2.0 sliding door by IDSystems is an ultra-slim aluminium sliding door system designed to create expansive glazed openings with minimal visual interruption. With intermediate sightlines of just 20 millimetres, the system maximises daylight, views, and the connection between interior spaces and the outdoors, while delivering tested performance for water tightness, air tightness, wind load, and enhanced security when specified with laminated glass.

From a sustainability perspective, theEDGE2.0 supports a high-performance building envelope by combining thermal efficiency, durability, and long-term usability. The system can achieve overall U-values from 1.2 W/m²K, helping to reduce heat loss while maintaining large areas of glazing. Its slim aluminium frame supports material efficiency, while aluminium’s recyclability contributes to circular material use at end of life. By increasing access to natural daylight and supporting strong weather performance, theEDGE2.0 provides a durable, energy-conscious solution for contemporary external glazing.

Hidden House

Hidden House is conceived as a residence embedded within its landscape rather than positioned prominently upon it. Duncan Foster Architects’ approach is based on privacy, spatial layering, and environmental continuity, allowing the building to remain closely connected to natural light, vegetation, and outdoor space.
