For the Salone del Mobile 2026, Unopiù presents VERSILIA, a collection of tables that celebrates outdoor conviviality through an essential, balanced and timeless design.
Designed by Keiji Takeuchi, VERSILIA stems from the idea that a good table should not impose itself, but rather welcome. Like a supporting actor, the table becomes the silent support for relationships, everyday gestures and shared moments, naturally adapting to different settings and seating.
The collection stands out for the harmonious dialogue between the aluminum structure and the teak tabletop. The aluminum finishes, available in graphite and chocolate variants, meet the warmth and tactility of wood, creating a measured balance between contemporary precision and natural materiality.
A distinctive element of the project is the perimeter frame that protects the edge of the tabletop, conceived as a response to a spontaneous gesture: the contact of the hand with the wood. This detail introduces a refined sensory dimension, transforming a technical solution into a discreet design feature capable of enhancing especially the extendable table, often characterized by solutions that are more functional than formal.
Conceived for both residential and hospitality settings, the collection includes a rectangular extendable table, ideal for hosting numerous guests, and a round table designed for more intimate and informal moments. Both models interact naturally with indoor and outdoor environments, confirming the cross-functional vocation of the project.
VERSILIA was created as part of a collective project conceived by Unopiù and developed together with a Designers’ Collective, envisioned as a shared “Travel Diary.” Each collection brings a personal perspective within a unified vision: to narrate and enhance the heritage of Unopiù, an Italian brand and leader in outdoor furniture.
