The XP Glide is an aluminium sliding door system from Express Bi-Folding Doors designed for residential and commercial applications. It features slender sightlines (as narrow as 20 mm) that maximise glazed areas and allow natural light to penetrate deep into interiors — enhancing daylighting without large, obstructive frames.

The system offers multiple panel configurations on twin or triple tracks. It incorporates robust security features, including PAS 24-tested locking and interlocking profiles, and achieves typical overall U-values of around 1.4 W/m²K. The aluminium profile is thermally broken and powder-coated for durability and long service life, which can reduce maintenance-related waste over time.

Large glazed openings in aluminium systems like XP Glide can contribute to passive solar gain and daylighting strategies, and the product’s longevity and recyclability align with broader material sustainability considerations associated with high-performance building envelopes.
